INTRASPHERE

COMPONENTS

The whole project can be seen as an adaptive system that emerges from multiple components. The Intrasphere approach encourages project members to develop

MIRSARNER

MirSarner, a collaborative Network which brings together 120 companies… from traditional crafts, to industry, agriculture and farmers, gastronomy and tourism.

Intrasphere’s Material resources and manufacturers are part of the Mirsarner Network.

RESIDENCY

Intrasphere project offers to designers the opportunity to develop a proposed work in collaboration with manufacturers and material suppliers from MirSarner.

The aim of Intrasphere’s first component, “DIE STUB”, is to stimulate dialogue/exchange/interaction between the designers in residence and the local community, focusing on the specific environment of Val Sarentino, with consideration for the traditional backgrounds and local resources, developing a mobile dining room, cooking facilities, its furnishing and food concepts.

The length of the residency could be from a few days to two weeks: exact dates will be discussed with the participating designers.

Living and co-working space is provided by Bad-Schörgau, one of the most renowned gourmet and wellness hotel in South-Tyrol.

The work in progress will be presented during exhibition and feedback events in different private and public spaces.

For selected projects, materials and/or technical support will be provided according to availability and feasibility.

The revenue of the sold products will be equally shared between the contributers involved in the development of the product.

Mirsarner will cover travel costs.

ENVIRONMENT

The designers are invited to work and show their prototypes in the inspiring Sarntal/Val Sarentino. But they are invited also to engage a concrete relation with the environment
